Forecasting Analyst


The Requirements

Join us in Mancheser as a Forecasting Analyst

  • You'll work as part of a newly established and dynamic Contact Support team to help our telephony and digital businesses deliver the right people, with the right skills, at the right time to delight our customers
  • We'll look to you to deliver forecasting cycles, working closely with multiple stakeholders and using various forecasting methodologies to produce accurate and timely forecasts

What you'll do

As a Forecasting Analyst, you'll be delivering daily, weekly and monthly forecasting cycles with relevant supporting commentary for telephony and digital, including webchat, secure messaging and social media, businesses within agreed accuracy targets. You'll be delivering accurate intraday demand profiles for telephony and digital businesses, as well as forecasting future resource shrinkage to make sure weekly plans provide an accurate view of supply against customer demand.

You'll also be:

  • Working closely with capacity planners to deliver scenario plans for strategic changes and projects, allowing impact to be forecast and factored into future demand
  • Monitoring daily forecast accuracy and suggesting possible changes to future forecast, including full rationale, to help make sure businesses meet customer service targets
  • Building and developing relationships to identify common challenges, share best practice, research and implement improvements and monitor their success and cost effectiveness
  • Regularly and effectively engaging with the business and contact support colleagues to make sure agreed processes are followed while also reviewing and implementing improvements to processes to maximise efficiency and minimise costs

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data. You'll have previous experience in a forecasting role, paired with knowledge of forecasting theories, methodology and models including using linear regression, cluster analysis and propensity models.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, as well as VBA and Access
  • The ability to proactively plan your own time and tasks to meet multiple or varied deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Good attention to detail
